Abraham was very quick to give this instruction to his son Isaac who complied by marrying Rebecca, a virtuous woman from his father’s clan. But when it was time for Isaac to tell his sons the same thing, he forgot only to realize it after his first son Esau had already married two of such women and they were tormenting him and his beloved wife.

The Canaanite women in Bible days were know for their practice of idolatry and adultery. They moved into their husbands houses with their numerous gods and kept on flirting with different men even after marriage. Just like the one that JESUS met by the well side, they were likely not to even stay married to one man for long before moving out to be married to another.

There are men and women in these form even today! The worse thing that can possibly happen to a believer is to become unequally yoked with an unbeliever in marriage. The combination is like missing a rotten egg and a good egg together and then frying it. I bet you won’t be able to eat the final product. You will even wish you fried only the good egg at the end of the day. The same applies to a heavenly minded person, it is better you remain single than for you to gamble with your eternal destination by going into marriage with an unbeliever!

If a man or woman is fully controlled by the HOLY SPIRIT it will be very difficult for cheating to be heard of in the relationship. Don’t commit yourself to someone you don’t trust! If they give you the impression that you are not enough while dating or courting you, you will never be enough even in marriage! Remember, GOD hates divorce, so it’s not even an option to correct a marital mistake once made!

Beloved, don’t allow what you see to fool you! There are a lot of deceivers in the world now. Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Are you at the point of making this life transforming decision? Go to JEHOVAH and seek for HIS divine direction.
